no. you are only as good as your last season...hence scouting for a team. throw a few quid at it and get crouch....a real target man. alot will depend on us keeping adel. warnock has never played in such a freeflowing style of football as a manager before(remember palace fans start of last season on here moaning/sheff utd etc). we will play with one up front as norm but carew is too static and is slipping under the radar(so will proberbly get him). anything he had is past imo. can see this as the kind of player we will aim for.........hately anyone????

look at champions league games. far better player than carew. take your point but crouch was used for certain games to play a role-spurs had to dabble the whole season because of europe. much better player when a reg. carew is a lump/decent in the air with a very limited touch.......crouch has a good touch and is quality in the air as far as laying balls off. not saying for a moment we will get him because of the tight way we will go about things but not a signing to inspire me.

i would prefer crouch also, but carew has got to be a better option to what we have now plus beattie etc....

yes , he could, but he's lost pace and has been very ineffective for years, which is a shame because he was very useful at one time. If Stoke can off-load him (and Pulis is a good manager) then he is definitely damaged goods.
