Yes it is derisery and far lower than the value of the club, but it's no further from the real value than Bernie's £100m asking price, which is ludicrously over the top at the other end of the scale.

As has been said this is a negotiation, when buying you start low and work your way to a more realistic figure, likewise if selling start too high then work down to the realistic figure you actually think it's worth and expect to get.

People think because Mittal has billions be should just chuck the cash around and they are being tight. Well he didn't make his fortune by bending over and being shafted by other shrewd business men who think like he does. Things like this don't happen quickly.
