i dont believe these are the right sort of games to be playing pre-season it was ok the play your bodmins tavistock and crawleys last season, but we are stepping up a gear this year, our defence is hardly going to be tested i would like to have seen us playing at least a couple of championship sides or maybe a top flight side from europe, please dont snap its my view and i know its all about fitness.

There you go, you said it yourself, it's all about getting fitness levels up, nothing more, nothing less, no matter who we play, or where we play them.Originally posted by rmj1982 View Posti dont believe these are the right sort of games to be playing pre-season it was ok the play your bodmins tavistock and crawleys last season, but we are stepping up a gear this year, our defence is hardly going to be tested i would like to have seen us playing at least a couple of championship sides or maybe a top flight side from europe, please dont snap its my view and i know its all about fitness.
Pre-season friendlies are just that, friendlies that just happen to benefit both teams participating.

Have to agree with you for the 1st time.Originally posted by The Merry Ploughboy View PostWhat's with the pointless whinging?I played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

getting confidence is paramount walking into this season. if we play a major cup/tourney and lose we will go into league not confident.Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

I guess we'd all like some of what you refer to as top class opposition! You've said it already, it's all about fitness levels and also the team bonding - I won't question Neil, he's done the west country tour for many a year now, the idea is to enjoy the mini-tour, without to much pressure on the squad.... Lets face it, what happened this season ain't gonna happen for a long long time.... and besides, it's a smashing little break for the QPR fans, very affordable match prices and B&B's..... I'd say, don't worry to much, just enjoy The R's being Champions for the time beingOriginally posted by rmj1982 View Posti dont believe these are the right sort of games to be playing pre-season it was ok the play your bodmins tavistock and crawleys last season, but we are stepping up a gear this year, our defence is hardly going to be tested i would like to have seen us playing at least a couple of championship sides or maybe a top flight side from europe, please dont snap its my view and i know its all about fitness.
