    Shepherds Bush Green On Sunday

Couldn't post on the other thread, so just wondering. Despite that there is no party as such, who will be still going on Sunday? From what I gather, Pete will be there in his deck chair.

No law against that.. Though won't be a pleasant view for many.

The event has been cancelled officially.

I suspect 50-100 odd fans will turn up, then probably go down the pub. Pretty much a non-event, but for me its the last time to see some mates before the season starts.

Won't be an issue now with officialdom because so many won't be coming......

Its midday, not an all night rave or even a Party..

As i said the guys have officially cancelled it, so they are in the clear.

        Many will now not come..

Kids playing footie on the green/or in the park and people meeting/chatting (as long as not 1,000's) are not breaking any laws. Its a public place.

Not sure why you are bothered if it went ahead or not judging by your comments on LFW when you dug yourself a deep hole trying to score points against Pete

Has it finally sunk in yet that Pete did not organise the event??????

Isleworth, I was led to believe that Pete started this all off and had some input into the organisation of it.

"Obviously in line with it being a family theme, we've got quite a few kids footballing competitions going on Sunday."

As for point scoring, I don't do that sort of thing. I think it's childish.

I have to admit that looking at the posts on this site it did appear that Pete was involved in setting up this event.

"Obviously in line with it being a family theme, we've got quite a few kids footballing competitions going on Sunday."

But then again I guess that must be the Royal We......

All in all it was a pretty stupid idea and was never going to happen once the police found out about it. (It might be a public space, but you still need permission to hold an organised meeting like this).
A message to the other Premier League clubs when they visit Loftus Road.....

Only in this Country though would an event like this get the PC brigade and thedo gooders knickers in a twist

Anywhere else in the world and it would be encouraged as a great community ebvent for those inclined to attend

I wouldn't exactly describe myself as a do gooder or as a member of the PC brigade.

Have served in the armed forces though (in the Falklands, and Iraq) so that some can come out with crap like that.

This country has laws, and the majority of us follow them. It is called civilisation, innit?

I was not referring to you or any other QPR fan in the slightest as either being PC or a do gooder and was in fact referring to jobsworths at councils etc and the Police for insisting on things like risk assesments and public liability insurence when it was only a few years ago these words did not exist and folk just got on and enjoyed themselves without causing any harm to others

Sorry that you got the wrong end of the stick

I gave up reading your posts years ago..

If your happy that after 15 years with us not being in the Premiership, the club gave us no Parade, when 2nd place norwich had one, than fair play.

Contingency plans are already in Place for Reading and Swansea who finished places behind us too.

Of course its not the best idea, but then again its something and its something pure and simple the club couldn't be bothered to do.

As I said, I'll be in Bodmin in july celebrating our promotion with probably half the players that got us there

Pete that is total ****** (you must have read it to comment on it.....) . Have supported the R's for a fair few more years than you and think that not having a parade is crap.

But then again I think that the idea of having a do on the green was a very bad idea. Did who ever thought of this think that it would not be noticed by the council and police???? If so then they are ******* idiots.

The thing is the club are to blame for denying us a parade that has been had by many lesser clubs. So do we blame the club? I think we should. I know there is at least one person there who was at the last parade. Perhaps he should have pointed this out to his bosses, but then again perhaps he would have been worried about his position.....

                            here we go..

How very childish...Its now Gianni Paladini's fault we have no parade, you could not make it up if you tried

End of the day, event is cancelled.

I'm sure a few fans will pop down have a chat, then have a beer, then go home and all this fuss will be for nothing.

I repeat is something about nothing and really not worth talking about
