Lots of playesr are "worth a punt" but we can't sign every player who is "worth a punt". If we have v limited budgets would rather more of it was put towards an established goal-scorer. I take Benny's point about Beckford but - correct me if I'm wrong - don't think Makail-Smith has made anything like the impact Beckford did for Leeds.

Fair point, but that's at a level two divisions below our own. Certainly in that last season in that division Beckford must have been scoring at virtually a goal a game. Not attacking MS but with money so tight just wonder if he's a bit too much of a gamble.
