  • its BERNIE to sell his shares!

Sportsmail understands Bernie Ecclestone's desire to sell his shareholding in the club will leave Warnock particularly vulnerable, with prospective owners keen to bring in their own man. Former owner Flavio Briatore has first option on Ecclestone's 62 per cent stake.

Wouldnt be surprised if this is true, he has little involvement with the club anyway. I just hope some one else other than Flavio buys his 62% shares because having Flavio in the hot seat would be a nightmare!

This is part of a large article already posted.

Think we all knew it was Bernie's shares that were most under discussion. Correct me if I'm wrong but my understanding the meeting was to ascertain if the Mittels cd buy Bernie's shares; and if not, who would buy the Mittel's shares, no?

      Flavio hasn't got the dosh.
Mittals most likely to buy BE's shares, it was reported last week.
Or business partners of the Mittals.
Very much doubt this would be an unheard-of consortium popping up from nowhere, but people who have been in talks with the club -- so known to the Mittals.

If, of course, this is correct...now, where's my pinch of salt?
