How many stupid kick off times in the Prem?
How many midweek games?
How many Monday night games?

I'd have an ST tomorrow, but couldnt use it for every game. If I had to pick my games, I would probably only get to 10-12 games at home next season.

Good point. We were lucky this season with the Tuesday games - the year year before we had something like 5 or 6 home games on a tuesday...hoping for them to be all away games next season!

You need to bare in mind there will be 4 less home games compared to the championship.

We've never drank champers in each other's company, but there is always next season.

I've taken that into consideration to be honest, of course I don't want the ticket to go up but it's just my hunch based on prices at other London clubs like West Ham (I don't include Foolham as they have to charge 2p as they don't have any proper fans).

As you can imagne the club are like MI5 on this, its like my night water bottle nothing is leaking.


Though it seems apparant that current season ticket holders will get opportunity to renew first. the ones that don't renew might make them open to others.

I do get the sense that unlike our last promotion where (10,000? were on sale) it will be less this time around, due to wanting Matchday money through the turnstiles

will you please rumour back to G.P. that this is the most stupid and devisive idea he has asked you to rumour. if the club want to exclude fans in this way, these same fans may 'exclude' themselves from the games that tickets are easy to get for.wigan on a sunday lunchtime, live on sky? if the club do this to gain money, surely they will loose more than just money at games like this' yes we will let you pay £40/50 to watch this game, but you aint getting a ticket for man u' will lead to empty grounds for cat 'c' games and some fans never to return? has he learned nothing?

Speaking personally, and maybe I`m being a bit selfish, but I think it would be rather unfair if the club kept the number of season tickets the same. I have not had a season ticket before as I stay several hundred miles from LR but I have had club membership since the early 90s. I usually manage to get to 10-12 matches a season. Anyway I had decided that I would get one for next season and spent the weekend working out how many more sacrifices, financial and otherwise, would have to be made to let me go to every match. Now seems that this might be in vain. Obviously completely agree existing holders should be given first option.

The missing bit is, that anyone that does NOT have a season ticket this season, won't be able to get one next season.Thats the rumour anyway

There's nothing set in stone to say season tickets have to be discounted.

In fact at Spurs, Arsenal and Man Utd there are some non corporate season tickets that cost more than buying game by game.

You're buying for the convenience and prestige. I'd personally be keen to get the cash in up front if I were the FD.

Must admit not had a season ticket for nearly 6 years normally managed to blag a comp or sort someone a drink for a spare ticket but looking at a st possibly for next year due to comps now drying up but if the quoted £1000 season tickets then they will be well out of my league and as much I love the club if after all these years of going(on database for a millennium buying tickets)I would have to walk away and let the new fans come in I wonder if they will throw their money in buckets to keep the club alive

1st season in Championship we capped at 11.5k (I pretty sure)

Club have already stated, current season ticket holders & member will get 1st dibs (but no mention of an early bird discount sadly).
They've also said it will likely be capped.

Personally, I think they'll cap it at 10k, but they could go to 12k and still leave 4k for match by match sales, which would likely sell out comfortably.

Best of both worlds, plenty of money up front, then a steady income throughout the season with higher ticket prices.
And still the Sky/Premiership money to consider.
Plus increased Sponsorship.
And Merchandising. (I'm amazed they haven't gone to town with Champions / Premiership clothing yet !) If half decent (and ###L) I'd be in the club shop by the end of the week.

If any club had 8000 season ticket holders (advance payment for 10 months of product) got promotion to the Premiership and had all of the euphoria to capitalise on then said it will only be capped to 8000 still to maximise revenue on the day, i would sack them on the spot! this is the time to capitalise on our position, would think they would set a limit of 12000 , leaving 4000 home tickets up for grabs each game.
