Well I dont think we could sign many Premier quality players for less then that amount despite Warnocks knowhow in the transfer market

This is pure guesswork because as I've argued in another thread, the board have given no indication of their ambition/ expectations. But my hunch, for what its worth, is we might make one marquee signing that takes our record transfer fee and smashes its back doors in, but that most will be a mixture of frees or nearly frees (Bullard for instance), the odd loan and maybe some up and coming players like naughton maybe bought on staggered payments.

However much we spend and on whom I suspect that this time the transfer fees won't be announced...
