    IF...this turns out to be....

IF...this turns out to be a case of us telling porkies about transfer fees to look like we are spending loads....should the culprit be sacked?

The only person with the power to make the offy site report this as a 3.5 mil fee would be Flavio to appease fans.
Cant really sack himself can he.

Bit unfair on Paladini to take the can if he was made to say 3.5 mill under orders from Flav.

If it was GP's sole decision to say 3.5 mil , then yes sack.. but it would have been well over his head.

Its just like telling your pals you nobbed a bird when really all you did was share a taxi home. Next thing the bird turns up in your local and sets your pals straight.

I'm pretty sure that decision would be taken out of the club's hands, as the FA would place sanctions on Mr. Paladini ensuring his inability to hold any sort of position in English football.

At the time he was signed they said it was a deal worth 3.5m, not he was signed for 3.5m. There is a huge difference. Some fans were desperate for us to spend millions, hence the wording and they were confused by it. In reality the deal could include signing on fee, wages, payment to Inter who had first refusal etc etc....

Would they be allowed to do that though because would it not be a restriction of trade etc?

I am not saying he would not deserve it but I doubt the FA would have the powers to ban him as such from QPR or any other club in some capacity if not as a Director
