FA Charges/Ground/Football Aid

This seasons football aid game has been cancelled because QPR require time for the ground to meet premier league requirements

Anyone know what work will be done?

And they can't be to worried about the FA charges if already planning for the Premier League

I also feel sorry for the fans who were going to play in the football aid game done it three times myself and it's a great event

We recently received the disappointing news that because of the club's requirements to put in place vital changes to the stadium and pitch areas to meet Premier League rules for next season this year’s QPR game has had to be cancelled. We did look into every possible window for our game to take place unfortunately the stadium works are due to commence on Mon 9th May (2 days after the last Home game of the season), leaving no time for our game to be played. We also asked about the possibility of playing the game before the end of the season, on Sunday 8th May or even pre-season, however we have been informed that none of these options is a possibility.

Means they are not even worried about potential play-off matches??

One of the best pieces of news I've read on the situation as the cancellation must have come from the club, and it doesn't even say because of the possibility of having to meet premiership rules, it confirms it, surely they wouldn't have done so without being pretty sure??

Any concourse improvements would be gratefully received!
I doubt they meet health and safety requirements -- although, having said that, how the hell did Pompey get away with their disgraceful away end for so long? I don't know of another ground where the toilets are halfway up the stairs, so the queue is too! And the narrowness of that walkway, leading to those steps, is awful.

Anyone like to hazard a guess at which bits would need to be improved?

(btw, shame about the football aid game -- it seems such a worthy and enjoyable event.)

Exactly the club is convinced it will be in Premiership next season

FA charges don't seem to be concerning them to much

They need to have electronic advertising boards around the ground.

Those moving ad boards are horrible -- find them a distraction -- I wonder if players are distracted by them moving and changing all the time?
But, clearly the club are confident that the hearing won't affect promotion.

Will be some form of hardwiring, no doubt the addition of the LED hoardings (you have a selection of PL sponsors you have to carry ads for (Wrigley's Extra, Barclays etc.). Possibly some work to the pitch.

Why are we getting sh it, ffs blackpool didn't even have undersoil heating, I mean come on if they are gonna set some standards lets put in the important things 1st. They have had 2 games cancelled and that should never happen in the premiership, agree we have a fantastic surface.

I heard the gantry has to be moved, not sure it is true though.

What the ground really needs is an extra 5000 seats.

I remember reading somewhere a while ago that there was a problem with the away dressing room not meeting standards....(also did the tour and i remember the bloke saying it wouldn't meet prem standards) so that must be one of the change anyway!

The problem with the away dressing rooms used to be the size -- it was reduced by the installation of Al-Fayed's personal toilet when Fulham ground-shared -- so it's whether or not that toilet is still there or not.

I hope they sort the tv gantry out. It's embarrassing watching our highlights and always seeing the bl00dy scaffolding poles sticking out!

Yes, the TV gantry is an issue.
Wonder whether moving the away end to blocks X and W might be a possibility, putting in segregation fences etc?
If so, where will they move the wheelchair area -- cos I'll be moving with it!
If that's the case, anyone with ST's in those blocks will know when the renewals come out, I expect.
