got my tickets a while ago at £23 return.

TheTrainline charge booking fee. try eastcoast.co.uk or virgintrains.co.uk - neither of them have booking fees

Make sure you have a map with you if you don't know cardiff. When you come out of central station its a bit of a mindfield to find where you're going unless you know the way.

and if youre hungry theres a BK opposite the station, although decent cafes/panini shops etc around town, one of which sells the infamous 'Bale' burger.
