Looked at run in with the teams winning all games from team out side the present top 6 what would happen if they where to win all the games against the top 6 draw them all or lose them all.

i was looking for the bit that said maximum points after the FA have totally rogered us.

Max Cardiff or Swansea can get is 87pts, we have 79pts,
I make that 8pts

That is a fact, anything else (like your second statement) is just assumption, of which anything is possible.

I thought we needed 9 points before today? One game less now and Norwich not gaining. Kinda makes sense that it's the same. Obviously, that argument wouldn't stand with only 2 games to go.

If we had 2 games left no we could not get 9 points but then they could not catch us. If we where only win 2 games between end of the season and Cardiff, Swansea, Norwich where to win all there remaining games they would 87, 87, and 88 and we would have only 85 so hence why we need 9 points.
