i remember this april fool about 10 years ago and they where interviewing ####s in parlament square and many thought it was a great idea some saying that it did look a bit old fashioned and should be modernised.

No. It's true. Because of cutbacks the new clock face is easier to maintain and can be seen at greater distances at night.
