    Champions or Promotion?

I have noticed a few say, that getting promoted is what we want?

Being top for this long, I would hate to think Norwich would overtake us.

Surely all of us want the Championship trophy to be paraded around Loftus Road?

Which wouldn't neccesarily be leeds United at home, if we had secured it by the time we played Hull City

    Or would it?

champions would be great, but after this ongoing threat of a points deduction, i couldnt care less how we get up, second or first. Champions is what we deserve though - just pray no points are taken from us

Promotion would be main objective but champions would be a nice bonus! surely it's ours now if the FA dont F**k it up?! :strive:

Promotion first, Champions second. We'll do both.

Made me think: if we had mathematically won the Championship by, say, the Hull game, but the hearing hadn't taken place at that stage, would the League award us the trophy at that game?
(Given that there would still be a possibility of not being Champions if it all went #### up with the FA.)

Trying to remember if Newcastle were given it last game?

Or after they mathematically won it?

Home game, not sure if it was their last home game?

Though WBA did have it at our ground...

Hopefully we can do it at Watford or better still Cardiff

I vaguely remember other teams, who won their division's title with several games to go, being presented with the trophy at their next home game, even if it wasn't their last.
                        Can't remember who, though...

before points threat would want champions, with points threat 2nd will do, don't want the lottery of play-offs.

                              Just looked into it...

Newcastle picked up the trophy at home to Ipswich on april 24th, which was there last home game...

Seeing as they won the league by 11 points surely they must have secured the title before then...

Not even a 2-2 draw at St James' Park could dampen the spirits this afternoon as Newcastle United were awarded the Championship Trophy infront of 52,181 people, a record attendance in the division since it was renamed. Players, fans and staff alike started the celebrations on the pitch, which will no doubt carry on long into the night.

                              *Edit*
They secured the title against Plymouth so Ipswich was their next home game and their last home game...
