IMO GP should have been suspended on full pay whilst the investigation happened as that is standard HR practice and would have provided legal protection for all parties.

Must admit that at first I was surprised he was not suspended until the verdict arrives but I guess that as its not an internal matter within the club as such and being investigated within like it would be at any other business then suspending might possibly sway the FA Panel that no smoke without fire etc

The fact that the club appear to be sticking behind with one of its employees is quite commendable I think whatever you may think of him and if accusations were made about me from outside my workplace I would certainly be very pleased if my employers showed faith in me until it was all over
