    Close call - any comments - I like to think they re both a testimony to southern musical talent to rival beales etc

      as much as i like squeeze its got to be clash for me all day long.

                      Both had 1 public school attending member.

                      Squeeze had 3, maybe 4 classic singles.

                      The Clash are icons.

                      Catchwieght contests. Like comparing Tyson in his pomp to Julius Francis.

                          The Clash are by far more talented than Squeeze. I would even put UK Subs over Squeeze.

                                          I'm a bit of a Squeeze fan, but I like both, a lot.

                                                          Clash all day long.
                                                          Squeeze were great singles band up to and including Frank album (the one after Babylon and On) about ehen Jools H left for good.

                                                          But the Clash, only let the standards slip with their last album by which time only half of them were still present.

                                                          Difford & Tilbrook good writing team but Jones & Strummer way better IMHO
