MC might be our best technical CB, but by f*ck the boy can't defend all that well.

No defending Connolly today. 2 abysmal pieces of play that could of put us royally in the sh!t. For 32 odd games yes good but now as said when all are fit is 3rd choice.

If he plays Tues he needs to buck his ideas up big time.

I'd go as far as to say after todays debacle start Gorkks on Tuesday. I like Conners but jesus..

Hall didnt get injured. He just cramped up and panicked a bit, but he's fine.

Hall has always been classy; its just a shame that 1. he gets caught on the wrong side of attackers so often that he is usually a liability as he pulls them down in trying to recover his position and 2. he only ever lasts 2 1/2 games before he's out again for 5-6 games.

Connolly is young and has performed very well since he came to us; surely he's allowed a 5-10 game blip in form?

Conners didn't have the best of games, but he's done the business this season. What I though was odd, was where he played. Normally he would play right, and Gorkks left. Hall plays righ and Shittu plays left. When Hall came off, you would have though that Conners would slot in at right CB, but Dan went right, and Conners left. So effectively both were playing out of position.

Connolly looked very poor today when he came on, and I really like him but today was hesitant didnt attack the ball missed about 4 times when he should've just headed it clear and made a real bad mistake trying to play in his own box when he should've cleared it

To be honest this performance from MC has been coming - on his last start at Preston away alongside Gorkks he was awful, so was Gorkks and they continued to let the ball bounce and giving the centre forward time to take it down and run at us.

However, he is a good defender but has just had a bad time of it lately, maybe a start against Millwall will boost him a bit, but only if Hall is injured.

I think that was more to do with which striker Warnock wanted each of them to pick up.
At the end of the day whether you like Connolly or not he made 2 basic defensive errors yesterday, poor mistakes and they could of cost us.
But has had a good season all in all.
At the moment, imo, he isnt first choice but things change quickly in football.
