An ideal short term fix would be Phillips if Miller does go back. He is prob the only one who would score fom nothing. Old but deadly.

I agree. If Hulse had been where he should have been to meet those impeccable crosses from Miller we'd have been out of sight and not worried about one mistake by Connelly. With Smith out the need for a Lita or McCarthy becomes paramount.

No it would not be an ideal fix as NW wants a lump up front to hold the ball up and bring others from the midfield into play, Phillips does neither but is fantastic at scoring goals so not suited to our style of play.

Then why is everyone on here moaning about HH and hulse? Afterall we scored yesterday with Hulse on, like you say by a midfielder !

is there any chance derby could recall hulse?

oh and if miller goes back it could be a good thing. we dont really need a bustling centre forward playing as a winger, and it if he returns it will deffo force warnocks hand to get a striker, and hopefully one who scores once a month.

Ask them whty they are moaning, but the fact of life is that HH and Hulse fit into the style of play NW wants to play but Phillips would not.

i dont believe a word of this.
i couldnt give a shite about a style of play. hh and hulse do nothing really, im so not a fan of this 'they hold the ball up well' bull shite either.
even if phillips only touched the ball once all game cos he doesnt fit into warnocks style of play, but pounced on a rebound and scored, its more than any of our centre forwards would EVER do.
get anyone in whos a proven scorer, dont give a damn about style of play, its all an old wives tale/urban myth anyway.

Strangely enough, I agree with you there.

NW should point out to RH that he's not scored yet, so if he wants firepower, do what Newcastle are doing and look for the new Shefki Kuqi !

He might want to try an shore up that leaky defence first, that way they won't throw 3 goal leads away !

So if not McCarthy, who else might be available to bring in ?
                              Realistically !

We dont need to look for a "striker" cos we have one ! Enter our very own Mo Sharif !
He is scoring goals left right and center, pacy lad.
