i never understood previously how toothache can impair someone from doing their job or going about their lives, i just equated it with an annoying headache or something similar...

...then i had an abscess for the first time.

Fark me, it's possibly one of the most excruciatingly painful things i've ever had. completely impairs your ability to concentrate on anything. The good news is that the Antibiotics work, so fingers crossed if he is dosed up he'll be fine...
