Connolly and Gorkks are part of our best defence for ages. No reason to swap them and am very happy S.hittu signed as cover. With the number of bookings Connolly accumulates think Dan will be getting his chance soon. Might as well make him feel welcome now and it shouldn't undermine those in the pole position of the shirts.

I think last night, most of us would have joined in with ANYTHING once we'd scored, the mood was so upbeat.

It's not about being negative. By singing it might make Warnock think we want Shittu in the side. I hated those days of hoof ball with Shittu under Holloway. I like my centre halves being good on the ball. The way football should be played. If Shittu got in the side it would be long ball and no point having a midfield.

Should be praising/singing about our CB's that have been fantastic all year not the one warming the bench.

I think warnock is too sensible and too experienced to think anything more than a good servant cone home, some fans probably do want him in the side others don't it's all about opinions.

I think Shittu at his best before was our best centre back since Macca. Also think our current pair have had great season to date but competition is healthy

This is the point. If you are playing and your own supporters are singing the name of your back-up plan that cannot be good for the old ego. Totally undeserved on Matt and Kaspars for the crowd to big up plan B. Especially since they get little obvious love of their own. I cannot remember anytime anyone sang a Matt or Kaspars song tbh

Think we are making too much of this!

United still sing about cantona and Keane!

Singer - true and you may be right. But my (simple) thought was that singing for the boy on the bench is not good news for the one doing the job on the pitch. No one is suggesting choruses of Radek Radek are they (?) and if they did my point would be the same - the one that deserves the love is the one doing the business and lets not let themn think we want others off the bench.

I see what you are saying Stanley, it's also strange that certain players don't get a sing, KG and Matt C are certainly players that stand out, where as once buz is back on the bench he will be sung about as will rowlie and cookie - so in theory we will be singing about 4 players on the bench rather than those on it, going back to big Dan though I think he is a one off, smashing fella, huge heart who genuinely loves the club and fans warm to that. It was also a successful era that he was part of where there was a big togetherness between fans and players, something missing until nw arrived

Yeah, can't get my head around the fact we sing about players on the bench.

What about singing for the players who are on the pitch and doing the job?

                                Gorks?
                                Connolly?
                                Derry?
                                Faurlin?
