    The Boards reaction?

So what do you think the boards reaction to all these mad transfer fees that are now being paid is? It can't exactly have gone unnoticed can it.
I wonder how much they are going to be prepared to cough up if they at least want us to compete on an even playing field next year?

Sure they'll find a way of scrounging a few cheap loans!

I reckon our board have been clever, going for loans with a view to perm in the summer if we go up, they are paying top wages instead to get the people they want. Clever move IMHO

The prices are ridiculous but Liverpool have done alright out of this. Basically swapped an out of form Torres for Carroll and Suarez. Given the choice I would take what Liverpool now have. Carroll and Suarez could be a lethal combination.

What this means of course is you need to have the collateral of somebody like Torres to do these kind of deals. We have that potential with Taarabt. Now we need to speculate.. Players like Austin for instance. Pick him up now for relative peanuts, hope he turns out to be a star and you have the potential for bigger deals down the line without having to outlay silly money.

Wages? Well thats a different matter.

Silly silly money but I honestly think Carroll will be a big hit with the scousers. Top player & not a better header of the ball in the country.

The Board will set a stringent budget with a wage cap and that will be it. Off course there are those of you who are are still too daft to realise that we won't spending fortunes in the Prem if we get promoted; we also won't be building a new stadium anytime in the near future either but eventually it will sink in for the delusional.

Yeah 80's it was said slightly tongue in cheek, but I also fear there might be some truths to be taken from it.

prices in summer are usually less than Jan. Though agree - gone silly this winter.
