im a big fan of dan's BUT now with chimbonda here(who can play across the whole back four without problem) do we really need big dan to sit on bench? i mean hill, connolly, chimbonda, gorkks and whenever fit hall can all play CB if required.

Definitely need him. Fresh face. Competition for places, also gives a different option to connolly when playing against parkin or holt for example.
