    That's just too simple.

    Stop that nonsense.

Hold up but Phillips isn't a target man and he doesn't play for flick ons so Warnock won't have him. I am corrected on so so many fronts today. The wisdom and general football nous of people on this board is staggering. I am being educated on all sorts of levels.

Yep, it's certainly an education on here.

Makes me wonder how the hell Danny Webber, Victor Moses etc.. ever got a game under Warnock.

          Where does Taarabt play?

Phillips is not a target man and Warnock has and always will have a target man playing for flick ons
The ball gets played through the middle of the park and on the deck more by the likes of Smith, Faurlin, Taarabt who are capable of playing outstanding passes to feet. The gameplan is not always to lump it up to a target man under Warnock he is adaptable just because he has a preference for a target man its not a given. Your making Warnock sound one dimensional just to prove a point whilst educating us on football. Kevin Phillips would offer a fantastic Plan B, you could sub him for Taarabt and switch to a 4-4-2; Taarabt might get injured as well, please don't tell me you'd have a fit Buzsaky to fill his boots? Also in a 4-4-2 Taarabt can switch wings and crete problems that way. So yes the team is built around Taarabt with a target man up front but that doesn't mean a signing like Kevin Phillips should be over looked.

Routledge was a rumour on here last Saturday.

Didn't see that anywhere else then, did you?
That's not my point, you've been saying done deal for days, if he hasn't even agreed anything with Newcastle it can't be and still isn't so, to cut to chase - a lie!

This afternoon you were still calling it a done deal, while NW was quoted this morning saying it wasn't.

To be fair NW said that after Vaagan Moen had signed too...

Whether we play Saturday or Sunday I think you'll find it's close of business on Friday (5pm).
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########

Fitz Hall just said on Twitter that he spoke to WR and he's not sure what is happening - so if WR doesn't know then how come so many people on here do?

Hope WR's just playing games and just avoiding telling people what is happening and I really want those who said he was coming to be right as I fell he could fill the gap in terms of pace that was left when Kyle Walker left.
