The rumour re-surfaced in The Football League Paper again today. Think he might be on our list of targets, just not in the top four that Warnock wants.

january really is the time for the dregs of footballing society aint it. well for us it looks like it is.
wouldnt it be nice to rob a team of their best player (watford) for once in our history, and have them hate us for the rest of their lives while the player takes us into the promised land.
oh ive got to stop living in a dream world, its not good for me.

Totally agree, why is it we are always rumoured to be after everyone else's cast offs or has beens although i would still take Kevin Phillips on loan but why not sign someone like Charlie Austin who could learn a lot from Phillips

I hope he is on reserve because he shouldn't be our number 1 target.
            Games until premiership end:35
            current position:12th

If he was fit and hungry to play rather than just being hungry I'd take him. He was an excellent player at Porto goal every two games, was great at the start of his career at Blackburn and scored over 1 in 3. He has Champions League experience and I am sure he would be more clinical than any of our other strikers.
15 years in the wilderness will be a distant memory come Sunday 8th May 2011.

Tbh I would even take Watford's Sordell off them and I think they'd be pretty hacked off about that too.

Any Watford player wouldn't leave them to come to us at the moment as they have just as much chance of promotion as we do , on current form they look more of a bet

this is the real world mate every single one of them would walk here for more wages. (the ambroses and ryan giggs of the world are one in a gazillion).
oh and for the record, they have got no chance of automatic promotion imho, check the odds.
we are near on there with a manager with a great record and loads of seasoned pros, they will get play offs at best , so most of them would join us for the same wages id imagine.

The only pattern I can see, is that your talking about 10 years too early!!
