if routledge joined boro instead of newcastle

yes. boro would of gone up with the aid if his 20 plus goals a season, the untold pin point crosses onto a forwards head EVERY single time he runs down the wing, and the 10 outta 10 performances of pure effort and work rate he puts in every week.

Whilst Routledge is not the complete player and was never going to be top drawer this comment suggests to me you didn't see him play much and/or you could not tell your #### from your elbow. Only chartitable reason for it is your memory is shot. Not world class but was our best owned player by a stretch

Gaxze what makes you think Routledge would move to Middlesbrough?

saw every game he played for us at w12. and i remember him well, yeah he could skin a player, but end product was nothing to write home about or revere him up there as one of the great r's.
and he is nowhere near as skilfull as adel and could never pick out a pass like adel, or score spectacular goals like adel, and he never scored any amount of goals like mackie or worked for the team or play out of position like mackie does/did.
a mercenary player who always seemed like he was playing for a move or just to get his wages, not playing for rangers.
think ive covered all bases there on 'my opinio'n and why it is how it is.

GTP - that is a bit easier to understand and littl;e bit more balanced than "can't stand him" and "hot air and pish player". So OK.

But I am not sure I see where you are going with the Adel comparison (and I am not sure you saying he could "never pick out a pass like Adel" is not a joke!! I am guessing it must be as you are also saying Wayne is mercenary, unlike Adel). Priceless:drunk:

And whilst on, I never said Wayne was one of the great R's. In fact I said he is not the complete player. BUt he is the best Right winger we have had for many years. To dismiss him as "hot air and pish" is laughable

routledge was overated...pace was nearly his only trick. his distribution was very poor and was hardly a goalscorer of note. the only reason people think he was the best winger in years(if people are really saying that!!) is because we we're a pretty sithe team for years. ok at this level and no more!!
