Would it be a loan or a permanent signing? If just a loan till end of season then perhaps i can see the logic. He can play acroos the back line and probably good enough for this league. As a permanent signing, don't think he is good enough for the premiership.

Expensive - even with a reported pay cut, lacks any sort of commitment, pace has gone and doesn't make up for it with any tactical nous.

Then you have the accompanying agent baggage.

Ask me 4 years ago and you might get a different answer.

Nodge I actually think he will do a good job.

Even if he has lost a yard he will add pace to the back line. I mean thats not hard when you have connors, gorrks and hill head lining it.

He also has played at premiership level and is experienced when playing against quality wingers. We could definately signed alot worse and least the pay cut shows he wants to play. I guess we will have to wait and see.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Maybe he's been exposed by the Lennons and Nanis of this world lately, and his pace has dipped.
But I'd be surprised if he's slow by NPC standards, maybe his fitness/sharpness needs working on.
                  ...Over to you Neil!

                  Cheers for the reply anyway.

GTP - Yes he has had a start (couple I think) but I was really only trying to stir it up as the pair of you seemed to be squaring up for some handbags. Seems peace has broken out all over. How dull is that!

Now you've added "this year" which wasn't there before. He had a couple last season. And several in cup competitions. So my **** stirring is actually true

Nothing doing yet. Fitness still an issue. Spurs won't let him go out until they are 100% convinced about his groin
