Not all about attendances by any stretch. In attendances we are similar to Millwall and Palace but our commercial reach, brand awareness, media profile and trophy cabinet far, far exceeds both.

Nodge, I agree with you, up to a point. We have a bigger fanbase and higher profile than many give us credit for.

But while we might have a trophy cabinet... the actual contents doesn't take long to polish.

I agree but there is hardly anyone available worth buying, or they are over priced due to the mid stage of the season. We could well be paying over the odds for a player that isn't worth the money.

Thats why I say Loans are the way forward, give me another Walker on loan anyday.

Chelsea have some players coming up for loan and so do Arsenal, lets wait and see who comes in before jumping the gun.

IF the owners miss this opportunity to strengthen glaring weakness in the squad for the push for promotion, ie mainly in defence, moen may be able to fill in for makie,......if we do miss out because of lack of forsight and balls, then that would be unforgivable and they the owners would lose all trust from the fans.

I'm not wetting myself about watching "Prem Footy", and all the money/media cr*p that goes with it... but for the good of the club, and especially the younger fans (like my kids) it would be great.

Hence why we need a bigger stadium in order to reduce the cost of tickets. But I guess if there is no transfer fund, they will hardly splash out on a new stadium which we so badly need.

Inexperienced fringe players. You won't find anyone near the level of Walker at those two clubs.

No-one worth buying? The likes of Austin will have a premium attached to them purely due to the fact that they are a) good and b) in demand.

The only factor that changes in the summer transfer window is length of contract.
