On comms they mentioned we played Blackburn in the Charity shield in 1912, how did this happen and what was the score ?

When the first Community Shield match was played in 1908 between Manchester United, the then reigning Football League Champions, and Queens Park Rangers, then Southern League Champions, it was professionals versus amateurs. They won 4-0

Against Blackburn they won 2-1
