I thought our owners were more eager to get us promoted this season. But as I read the article the headline is a bit off the mark.

Myu they knew the club were running at a loss when they took us over.

If you talk big about promotion etc then you need to back that up and reap the rewards after.

800k is peanuts, you get close to 60 million over 4 season with promotion so I have no sympathy there. They are just taking risks Myu to do it on the cheap.

Amits early interview on QPR player was a reason why I haven't signed up again.

If they don't want to spend now, they will never spend. Its a shame really because the reality is they haven't turned out as we all hoped. My big fear is we're going to go up, they're going to bank the money and be off. We're never going to stay up in the premiership without spending some serious dosh and this article just confirms they have no intention whatsoever of doing this.

If they are planning to stay with us for the long run then once again I question what their long term aim is for the club because articles like this really baffle me.

Time for the owners to put up or shut up in my view. Yes, it's their money, but we weren't running losses of £800k a month before they came in, so if they are going to run up debts of that order against the club, it needs to be with a view to getting us into the Prem where the money available will clear those debts, and earn them a very healthy profit on their investment into the bargain.

The manager, players and fans have fulfilled their end of the deal. If promotion is allowed to slip away this season, the blame will lie with the owners, and no amount of spin either from within the club or by their messaage board lapdogs will hide it.

Yeah. Things in the club aren't going as smoothly as everyone makes out and it highlights once again the owners have never really backed Warnock

I think it's a load of bs, Warnock is playing pauper. If the situation was different to it was sold to him he wouldn't take it, and if he wasn't backed to start with he wouldn't have joined - I think he is trying to 1) take the pressure of himself and b) eliminating inflated prices for players, he is far too sensible to have a go at the board in the press.

Bernie said last year in black and white that he wasnt really interested in gaining promotion and he could do without the hassle....

None of this makes sense, last August the board made a 3.5m bid for Walters, if Bernie was not interested why would he increase his stake on the club? The next 3 weeks will answer all!

Vblock - I'm not sticking up for the board here, I just think Warnock is very clever at playing media, also trying to take pressure of himself.
