We are clearly relying on Taarabt too much for our goals... scoring and creating them.

Todays only goal from open play was put on a plate by him.
All 4 against Swansea were down to him... the second at Cov was down to him.
The 1st was a player who's f*cked off to Villa now.

These are the only two games we've won in the last 6.

I honestly do not understand the obsession with not acting rich, it seem that's how we are doing it.
On the cheap. (in comparison to our resources)

I hope to God that we don't live to regret this approach, come may... and that Adel Taarabt doesn't get injured on Feb 1st.

how do we know taraabt isn't leaving, we are a selling club so maybe they will sell him and use some of that money for ambrose.

certainly would of offered spurs cash for walker, and this really goes to show that warnocks kitty is worth less than a burn't out caravan
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Gods you are wasting your breath mate. We all know that and I'm sure Pete does too. I'd be amazed if Warnock didn't either. The likely explanation is not that Warnock doesn't see the need for a striker but the board don't want to spend the money. Its very odd and I'm still no nearer to really understanding why they got involved in the first place but seems we are content to play Russian roulette with promotion - and if we don't achieve it then the board and their agents of spin will no doubt blame Warnock. Great shame.

Precisely. A month ago Watson was definately coming. How does anyone know who and how much will be bid for Tabs in the window? And with our owners showing no ambition in the transfer market that is only going to increase the hope of teams like Newcastle that they can tempt him away. Warnock is hardly going to turn round and say "Tabs is for sale", clubs always say their star players are going nowhere five minutes before selling them. Stand by for the "things change in football" thread.

Only thing I disagree with you on is Walker - Spurs clearly have big, big plans for him and have no intention of selling him to anyone.

No one is arguing that. Its just that it could be so much better - we could almost be out of sight in fact - if we plugged the obvious gaps.

Remember hearing the lack of spending at the start of the last three seasons being explained away by some because the board were waiting to see if we were challenging for promotion at Xmas. Then they'd spend big in January to assure promotion. Haven't heard much about that recently, dunno why.

But it's January. We're top of the league. Time for the board to show they are serious about getting us up. Can't seriously imagine NW doesn't want to strengthen certain areas.

Hope so, because we are down to one man in each defensive position. Means we need another left back, right back and central defender. Not one defender pretending to be good in all three positions.

Listening to NW on football league show he was mighty p!ssed off.

Gorkks got a mention & rightly so. I can feel a Woodgate signing in place of Gorkks coming on.
