Where is Hogan?

Given that most people felt that Clarke replacing Smith didn't work(!), what were the alternatives?
One obvious shot would have been to put Hogan back in that position, where he'd played successfully for a few games at the start of the season, before petering out and being replaced by Smith -- an opportunity for him to stake a claim in the team.
But where is he?
Not even on the bench recently.
Have I missed some news about him being ill, injured or dropped from the squad for some reason?

Just think he would have made a better go of yesterday than Clarke did.

I thought he played well the games I've seen him and surprised he aint been included in the side recently
