    My 3 January signings

Kyle Walker until end of season. No need to justify this one.

Dan Shittu on 6 month or 1 year deal. Squad player to cover CB's should Gorkks or Connolly join Hall on his treatment table at any time.

Danny Graham on 3 year deal. Quality goal scorer, nothing like we have already and would probably be bought for £2m. It would also weaken a side on the fringe of the playoffs should we have a blip.

    Result? Promotion.

    Walker is a must signing.

Allbeit we will have to settle for a loan although I would love us to bid 3-4 million for walker. It would really show we mean business.

I am not sure about shi ttu. He has sat on the bench at bolton and only recently had game time. I think we could do with a pacy centre half, although they are hard to find.

Upfront I would take Graham or Cox and i'd keep rowlands, looked lively when he came on and I still think he's a very good player.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

EYR do we need watson? I know he's younger but is he really better than Rowlands? I don't think so.

My choice of signings would be different but I'm putting myself in the place of the manager and board.

"Who could we sign and not risk wasting money on players who wouldn't be good enough wherever we happen to play next season, whilst giving ourselves the best possible chance of actually going up"

Walker is no risk and is currently part of the starting 11. Dan would be good cover and would up his game back with us, chances are he would only play a handful of games but we need Centre Half cover, he would only be here until we finish the season. Graham is what we need & would be a first teamer in the Championship if we didn't make it up this season and would be at least in the 18 man team if we did get up.

I see these signings as win/win.

Exactly if we are going back in for ex cb's id look no further than Clarke Carlisle (like him or loathe him) prob still one of best CB's in the league.

Or St Ledger at Nob End

Martin Rowlands is the most over rated rangers player I have ever known in 48 years. It shows how far we have come in the last 3 years... he was our best assest now he can just about get splinters on his ####

Clint Hill adds as much passion to the team as Rowlands did so we don't even miss that aspect

bring back shittu, swap rowlands for smith, and cookie for mackie and bring back the good old days is my motto.

Arguably the best CB performance at LR this season?

he'd jump at the chance to come back, reckons he loved the r's.

                              gtp stop it now.

I think there is a total lack of respect for Rowlands.

He is still a very good player at this level.

Cook will struggle but rowlands has proved he can come back from bad injurys.

Looked very sharp today, allbeit only 7mins but can still do a job IMHO.
