    Faurlin - back on form

Alejandro Faurlin was superb today. He did the simple little passes well but also fought and battled for fifty fifty balls and chased back when possession was lost.

It's no coincidence that the team plays best when Faurlin is on form.

Yep no hollywood passes just nice and simple good ball retention.

Much better today, goal line clearances, last ditch tackles etc. Still hasn't quite discovered his long range passing form but much, much better today. And you are right, when he plays well, we play well, crucial to our team.

Agreed he had a better second half but then all the rs players upped their game in the second half. I wouldn't say that Faurlin was poor in the first half. Just my opinion.

A couple of times i see him let their midfield runner run past him abit too easily, maybe abit reluctant all ready being on a card.

He got better as the game wore on. Like most, he had a great second half. When him and Taarabt are on song, we tick far better. Derry and Ali both protect the backline far better when both are up for it. That in turn gives the CB's more confidence and also allows Taarabt to do his bit. He can get away with losing the ball far more as it often falls back into our own possession.

Agree with Benny he looked far better in the 2nd half and that is what helped us get on top regarding the possession stakes. I actually thought 1st half he was slightly off the pace. His game was very similar to Cardiff at home. I'd love to know what warnocks half time team talk is about. Top top manager.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I thought both Faurlin and Derry struggled 1st half, mainly when we had the ball.
Often when Coventry had the ball they bypassed midfield with long balls to King and Platt.
