Did not flatly deny it. Might have legs. I think he has some interesting surprises up his sleeve for Jan.

I think that's Warnock just being sensible. If he came out and said "I've got 10 million to spend" then every selling club would immediately up their prices. Or it could just be his way of get more money out of the club. Personally I wouldn't read too much into it at all.

Warnock saying the opposite would be a bit stupid.

It would raise fees, raise fans/media expectation levels... and p*ss the current players off.

Cards close to chest, no hints, no leaks... best way.

Warnock didn't say no to Mutu, fingers crossed ( big shot or not )
                      Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                      And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Wenger, Ancellotti, Ferguson... they've all said exactly the same as Warnock over the last week or two.
"We wont be bringing new players in january, etc..."

Maybe we will/wont spend big? Who knows what the next few weeks will bring, with results, injuries, etc?

... but I wouldn't believe a word any of them say to a bloke shoving a Sky microphone up their noses.

Totally agree Goddard, he's a wiley old kat.

He knows who he wants & who he doesn't want. Roll on January.
