He was with us as a junior. We let him go, Millwall picked him and he subsequently played for Man Utd and Derby before coming home.

Also - Alan Mayes (look him up kids )

DJ Campbell - bombed out for attitude.

Barry Conlon - had a terrific career in the lower divisions.

NB - we never had Rio Ferdinand - he was offered junior terms but turned them down, preferring West Ham, where he spent the majority of his under 16 training
