was a tremedous goal scorer/poacher - never really got the star treatment as his goals were overshadowed by the outrageous flair of Stanley and to a certain extent Dave Thomas and the young but undoubted genius that was Gerry Francis - Terry Venables was also a fairly high level face at the time and i think Don kinda got on with the job in hand and didn't really get the recognition he deserved - did we not at one stage field a team comprising of Don Givens, Don Masson, Don Rogers and Don Shanks and if so why did Wimbledon assume the name "the Dons" ?Comment
