Think he could still be a good striker given the right club and a consitent run of games, he scored a lot of goals for Preston and even played (and scored) for England at one point he's still fairly young!

Good Player but not Premiership quality so no for me. Anyone we sign in January needs to be able to add addtional quality AND be able to play in the Premiership that way if we get promoted (sorry wont say When we get promoted until we have acheived it) we have already started the process of building a team to kick ass.
One for all.... and all for one

Doesn't fill me with ecstasy & joy I must admit.

Has had long enough to make a name for himself at this level & he still hasn't done it. Better out there.

Alledgedly the reason why Coyle left Burnley was because of Kilby's refusal to break the wage structure to sign Nugent on a permenant deal. Burnley's wage structure is set at a maximum of 15k pw for a player and Nugent demanded the same salary that he was earning at Pompey, which was 30k pw. Whilst he was on loan, Pompey and Burnley were paying 50-50 of his salary hence Burnley being able to afford him.

Do we really want (whilst in the NPC) to be paying anyone £30,000 a week? Cardiff are reportedly paying a third of that to have Bellamy on loan.

He is the type of striker i've been crying for us to sign, yes please.
                  Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                  And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Stay away. Not good enough. If we are serious then we should be looking at good young promising players who want to have a go in the Premiership or season Pro's who are looking for one last chance to perform for a nice earner. Nugent is not bad for this level but cant cut the mustard in the Premiership.
