Anyone know what the champions points average is after 19 games? Also how many sides on our points at this stage have NOT been promoted automatically ?

The average points of Champions 'in the making' after 19 games (over the last 9 years) = 37.66

01/02 Brighton 39 points
02/03 Wigan 41 points
03/04 Plymouth 34 points
04/05 Sunderland 34 points
05/06 Reading 44 points
06/07 Sunderland 24 points
07/08 West Brom 35 points
08/09 Wolves 46 points
09/10 Newcastle 42 points

Total points = 339

Divide by 9 seasons = 37.66

Good question.

Answer is, I only did the leagues we were in for those seasons. So they were promoted from League 2. Couldn't be arsed to find the League 1 stats.

Some people are so picky!!!!

I'll amend those seasons just for you, Cambs

So, removing the three previously posted figures for those seasons (total of 114 points) and replacing them with the above (113 points), the total over the 9 seasons = 338 points

Divided by 9 seasons = 37.55 points average for 'Champions in-the-making' after 19 games.
