    Hull City by train

    I'm planning on going by train and wondered if the nearest station is 'Hull' or 'Hull Bus Station'?
    Are there any decent pubs near the train station?

    Any advice would be great. Cheers

          Hull bus and train station are joined together. Come off out of trainstation and to go to the ground turn right,walk towards the traffic lights and turn right on to Anlaby Rd. Walk down Anlaby Rd for bout 15 mins past the Infirmary as you walk over the flyover the ground in on your right.

          If off for a drink come out of station cross road turn right at the lights turn left and theres a Wetherspoons across the road. just down from the Spoons is White Horse,Divas and Yello Bar. Or opposite trainstation is Shine bar with a big pavement area out front,down from Shine is Master's Bar. Keep going past Masters and on the right is Sgt Peppers.

          All the better bars are in the old town which might be abit of a walk. Thers also Tigers Lair on Anlaby Rd which is cheap and busy on matchdays. Pubs nears the ground are Parkers,Brownies Bar,Malt Shovel,The Eagle and Silver Cod which all might be abit iffy for away fans (unless you looking for a scrap).

          Brickmakers Arms and Walton Street social club on Walton street right next to matchday car park are away friendly.

          Also Propaganda in the town centre is to be avoided unless you are looking for some man on man action.

                  Hull.

                  The best thing we did was stop at York for as long as possible, and then get the 1.30-ish train, which gets you into Hull about 2.30. At 2.30 there's time for a quick drink in a pub on the way to the game, and then the boozer opposite Hull Station's not too bad for the way back.

                  On the way back, stop in York again and have a few drinks there. It's much more fun that Darlington, and prettier than Newcastle, with a better class of ale and female.

                      Or drink in Beverley town centre which is two stops out of Hull 10 mins on the train.
