Club V Country..Playing Players For 90 Minutes

This weeks question based on what happened to Gerrard and to a lesser extent playing Mackie for 90 minutes

We all know that Craig Levein played Mackie for 90 minutes, should International managers have the right to play these players for what period they want?

Up to the Player, manager should say

"Right son im going to give you the full 90 today" and if Mackie was to then say
"Well actually Mr Levin, I only wanna play 45 because Mr Warnock will go mental"

It is up to him; it wont look good and would he wanna risk international caps as a fit 25 year old footballer.

I dont see the point in the first place playing international friendlies on a wednesday when players played for there clubs the saturday before and the saturday after.
