If it WAS between Watson and Ambrose id have Ambrose all day but ffs lets not start all this again. He chose to stay at Palace for 'his love of the club' so let him love them in league 1.
Yes our midfield do lack goals but there are better and younger players out there who NW can work on and build that never say die attitude he's installed into our side.

Ambrose should have signed when he had the chance but I suppose everyone is allowed to make a mistake. If Palace are going to be reasonable about a price then I don't see why we should rule him out.

Out of the 2 options though I would rather see us go go for Watson. I don't think we saw anything like the best of him in his last spell here. I also think central midfield is an area we could struggle as the season goes on. Derry is knocking on and I have serious doubts as to whether he has the legs to last the season, Rowlands is a good option when fit, Mahon is on a short term contract but who knows how match fit he is and Legs is hit and miss in the middle of the park........another option would be welcomed!

Why are we constantly linked with midfielders.....? Would rather focus on getting a striker if I am honest, although I think both Watson and Ambrose would certainly strengthen our squad, but do we really need more midfielders?
