Club over country every time

Yes for me too. When the world cup or European Championships is on the i get pasionate about England. Friendlies are so Dull.

For possibly the first time in his career Gareth Southgate said something pertinent that didn't send me instantly to sleep: he said that the match showed an embarrassing gulf in technical ability, that the coaching for 16 year olds in this country was still teaching kids all the wrong things, and that while France have clearly gone forward since the world cup, we've probably gone backwards (even allowing for the largely second string team we fielded - where are the technically gifted youngsters looking to break through?).

will always support england,cant understand people flicking through programmes when england are playing.obviously only watch rangers so youre knowledge of football will be way below a 10 year olds.i love football especially QPR ,you lot should be more patriotic win or lose

I went to the last England match at Wembley, it was 0-0 and disapointing, I don't go to friendllies much due to cost etc. I went to the World Cup in Germany and would have gone to SA if my baby wasn't born cpl weeks before it started. Unlike the media, I knew we had no hope of winning either, but I still supported them.

But the things that annoy me about the "club v country" comments is that you don't have to choose between them and people seem to suggest England are not worth watching when they aren't playing well......well if you apply the same logic to your club you are called a "fair weather fan" or a "glory hunter".

Should support your club and your country regardless of results - more so when they are playing badly.

And don't give me that "passion" claptrap. passion doesn't win football matches. Skill, technique, fitness, organisation and tactics do. Otherwise we would see non league teams winning the FA cup wouldn't we?

It was only a sell out as the FA panicked about a fortnight ago and started to give reduced priced to tickets to local clubs etc....

Was no where near a sell out.They showed footage from a helicopter above the stadium and it was maybe 2 thirds full at best.

The England Fans Membership though has about 28,000 members and may would have bought a ticket for last nights game at our discounted rate of £15 each so as to gain a loyalty point (Cap) which would help get a ticket for Wales away in March and possibly Bulgaria and Montenegro as well

For away games we get 2 Caps so basically the more games you buy tickets for the more chance you gave of getting tickets for the games with small away capacities

It is extremely hard to cheat the system at away games as memberships cards have to be scanned in the City we play in and also proof of travel ie boarding passes and hotel receipts etc have to be sent in afterwards or your Caps total is set to zero

Home games do not of course have these measures so many buy a ticket and then try and sell it for a Tenner or so but if not then the seat stays empty as we saw last night and at numerous other games

For the record I have been to every game home and abroad I have bought a ticket for just in case someone intended making derogatory comments either here or on the Voyeurs site

wether you love QPR Chelsea or any other football team club country...its the football that counts and I love beautiful football and I respect it when I see it and it deserves praise where ever it comes from.

yeah that's what Wenger says, beautiful football and so on, never mind that Arsenal are bottom of the fair play league, as long as they can string 20 passes together, who cares, so, if that is the case how come Brazil and Arsenal don't win all the time? You say football should be 'beautiful', I say there is more than one way to skin a cat, a team can defend 80% of the time, have 3 counter attacking chances and win 3-0, you cannot say that team did not deserve it, that showed brains and guts, which quite frankly , I would take over 'beautiful' but stupid, football.

how many english boys play for Arsenal and Chelsea? I look at Chelsea and I see 5 black guys from Europe and Africa, so how is a david batty and david platt supposed to break through at Chelsea or Arsenal? I doubt Gascoigne would have been given a chance at Wenger's Arsenal. Do you think Hoddle and Waddle would have got a game today? No, they can't tackle can they?
