not bothered by that.. he's well past his prime and imo we need defenders and a striker more than any additional attacking midfielders..
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
    Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

thats a great move for him when he had even realistically resigned himself to the championship.

Good luck to him. Fine player in his day but something tells me his legs have gone. Would have still been a decent but expensive option for an NPC team.

Don't think we've missed out at all. The guy his 37 years old and has been injury prone since his early 30's. Besides, we're hardly in the market for another attacking midfielder.

I'd be surprised if he makes any impact at all at Villa.

              No honestly... Neither do I.

It's just the standard headline for a player who moves to another club.

Not fussed, be good to see him back again though. He might have a Wilkins style Indian summer to his game but as a fair bit of his game was going past people I'm not convinced he is still going to be all that.

Don't think he's as past it as you lot are making out! But not a player we needed right now at any rate - Smith and Ephraim are competing for the same spot, and then in six weeks we'll have Buzsaky and (apparently) Vaagan Moen in the mix too.
