Did anyone else actually have a brief "so what" moment when Ward let them take it again? I thought he'd do it again. I realised I have somehow subconciously begun to believe the boy is favourite to come out as winner when it comes to penalties.

During the pre-season the words on every QPR fans lips was when would Speroni sign from Crystal Palace, instead Neil warnock plays a masterstroke in signing ex Sheffield United favourite Paddy Kenny. Always viewed by many R's fans in the past as being overweight, we now see a lean keen goalkeeping machine. Warnock tends to sign players he knows who have character or played under him before, in Paddy Kenny we have the shrewdest buy of them all.

Since the start of the Championship campaign Kenny has played a major role inconceding a mere 7 goals - the best in the Championship - including a penalty save against Swansea, which if not saved would have led to the clubs first defeat of the season. Paddy kenny commands his area with authority and you know his distribution is first class. Whenever the QPR defence is breached you have a never say-die keeper who has got finger tips to shots, made double saves and put every part of his body in the way to prevent opposing teams scoring.

An inspiring vocal shot-stopper who is on target to concede the lowest amount of goals in a championship season. QPR fans would not put it passed him.
