OMG it was fantasticooo! Going to away matches for me is 10x the experience you get a Loftus Road and last night was just electric. When Smith fired the penalty home and every single one of the 2500 travelling Rangers fans erupted into that 'WHO ARE YA, WHO ARE YA' made every single one of my hairs stand up! It was a real mind blowing experience. Why oh why can we not get an atmosphere like that at home...

may get slated for this but a large percentage of away fans go for the sing song and to get behind the team.. at home sadly its the minority that go for these reasons.. most home fans are happy to sit there and just celebrate, moan and eat a pasty.

I only now go to home matches.Used to go the the odd one or two away matches.

To a certain degree, you are both correct.

I cannot explain very well why in writing but a lot of home teams fans appear very lethargic.Almost a case of.we are here what more do you want.
Also the away fans of teams,because smaller and all singing in confined area, will seem louder than a 15000 ground full of fans...spread out.

I always sit in R block as used to be the loudest but that has been quiet of late...

Thought the away end was subdued last night but the 'Who are ya' was loud.

Fratton Park was a 'HOLE' was expecting a hostile home atomsphere given how they rave about it on Sky but they were a let down.

Shame we never got a rendition of 'wheres your famous atomsphere' going that would really have pissed them off.

Also you notice the away atmosphere's change for the "big games" when more of the home crowd go. Some our really big away games in recent times have had a terrible atmosphere. Chelsea away (both), United, Play Off Final, even Wednesday were subdued atmospheres during the games

Leeds away a few years back, on a cold Tuesday night was a prime example. Only 700-odd Rangers fans up there, and we were load. Ok, the stadiums acoustics helped, but it was electric.

All that for a 0-0 draw.

Wednesday away was tense and nervous and the usual singing brigade were spread out across the 8,000 in that end. Only got going once Chris Carr hammered in the oggy.

I am referring to the song that was sung at the end last night. I was at Wednesday away and that is up there. Last night however was something completely different. Every single one of the QPR fans left in the ground last night roared together. It was electrifying!
