only side I had heard of is Rosenberg and they are pi ssing the league. I have a feeling its about league 1 level so I would expect him to look good. Also even there best teams don't get very fair in Europa so that gives you an idea of the standard. They got beaten comfotably by everton so I think we shouldn't get overally excited by You tube. That would make Ledesma look half decent although he now plays semi pro in italy.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

This is all i were saying Weare.
Of course we all want him to do well, but the Idea of posting Norways best ever Premiership players and saying he must be THAT good is propostuous...

I cannot recall a top level Norweigian ever going anywhere except the premier league.
I hope he will be the 1st.

            My point is this:

Dont all get too excited by a player whom may turn out to be a Ledesma.

If he was the real deal right now he would be signing for a premiership club, which we are not.

All the Norwegian names mentioned never went teir 2 of english football but straight to the premier league. our guy is not.

Lets hope he turns out to be a star, but lets not be suprised if he is another Ledesma or Parejo or Alberti.

Is some of the norwegians who's played in the premier league. John Obi Mikel and Mame Biram Diouf has come from the norwegian league in recent time. Not bad for a country with under 5 millions living in iglos eh? League One is a bit harsh

And the reason for that is that the premier league has changed radically the last 6-7 years. They now longer buys cheap norwegians, but proven superstars from spain, france and italy. The norwegian players are still the same, the premier league has changed.

My point is that he should be given a chance. You should know better Jeffro, given your preseason panicing ;) He's not costing us millions, worth a try

                      Jeffro,

Under the right manager Ledesma would have done very well. Agree about the other two.

Ledesma could have been a superstar the boy just wanted to play football with a smile and had undoubted ability, I think nw can get the best out of this lad if anyone can!

Agree about Ledesma, thought he was precisely the type of player who should have been developed into the finished article. Any word on what happened to him? There was talk a few months ago that we might bring him back for a trial.

Sad i know but i watched Norway V Rep just to see him. He was a very busy player always closing down his opponent very very quickly, Norway played 451 & he played Centre Mid right side but did switch to behind striker on few occasions. They did mention Moen scored 14 goals for Brann this season, their player of the year & SIGNING FOR QUEENS PARK RANGERS in January. 2nd half he played a fantastic 50yard pass so the striker could run on to & really should of scored. Went off after 78 & Houghton said if hes joining QPR in Jan i dont think they'll be that excited, but i watched him & he closed down really well was very busy lovely touch & boy what a pass, if it had been Gerrard they'ld have been replaying it over n over again...Agreed hard to judge a player on 1 game & playing Centre mid so could mean end of Buzz? but looked a tidy player

                              Update:
Petter Vaagan Moen did sign a 2 1/2 year after the medical a couple of weeks ago! Late next week he will travel over to London again to find a place to live and to train with the team. He will go back to Norway for christmas, and will return back to London and his new home on 1.january at the latest. The reason for QPR not confirming the deal already is probably because he is officially not a QPR player before 1.january, when his contract with Brann expires.

I too watched the Ireland game and he did nothing! ran around like a headless chicken for most of the game and did not get involved in much at all. Lost the ball a few times but didn't once beat a man or play a defense splitting pass or have a shot on goal.
I'm not having a dig at the fella, it was after all just one game and a friendly at that but don't come on here and make out he had a decent game against Ireland because he was poor.
