    Hulse's elbows....

Is it me or did anyone else think that he seemed to be a bit clumsy shall we shall with his elbows?? There was one in the first half where on another day he could have been sent off... think he'll have to watch out as he could get himself into trouble...

Just an observation and not slagging the guy off or wishing to take the gloss off of an awesome display that will live long in the memory...

To be honest I would say no. He's just a big ugly beast of a centre forward who defenders absolutely hate to face because of that exact reason. Won every ball into him & should of had at least 1 goal & could of had 2 but for good goal keeping.

He will be a great player for us. Not had someone that strong in the air up front for many years.

didn't notice that but did think he was very slow. won some good flick ons but was particularly lethargic when Fraulin hit the post and he just ambled over to an open goal before scuffing a shot/ cross when it seemed pretty straightforward to score. Not laying into the guy as he has a great record and think he could be very good for us but on his showing you have to say we miss Helguson.

In the first 5 seconds he could easily have been sent off as he definitely caught mills inthe face, apart from a goal or two I was pleased with his performance and he will get fitter and sharper the more games he plays !!!!!

Having watched the likes of Withe, Stapleton, Astle, Wyn Davies, Toshack etc in the yoof, Hulse is definately of that mould. Good to see!

                        Illustrious list there..

and thinking that it's good to have a bruiser as long as he doesn't become a liability by getting sent off or constantly booked.. really hope he plays next Sat as he'll be well fired up for Forest being an ex Derby player...

About time. We've needed someone with big elbows and the ability to win headers for 10 years. I like the nasty, dirty streak to be honest. No pushovers. Thought Hulse played well yesterday. Won most in the air - put the wind up Mills (who I thought was excellent) and played in some nice lay off balls to Smith in particular. Missed some sitters though!
