What clubs have been shafted by takeovers and ones that have profitted?

Thinking of Crystal Place whereby we had fans on here claiming they would promotion candidates, but 3 months in looks like the dream is turning into a nightmare.

Newcastle United fans a year or so ago clamouring for Mike Ashley to leave, now he hardly gets a mention.
