You say that but they have yet to sign a striker of that value. Wait a min they did get Clarke on a free and hulse for 500k. How can you say that is peanuts when its more money than we have ever spent on signing quality that is needed?

No I agree he's not worth 3M however he has already got 8 goals this season and has definatley been one of our best performers. I think he's only gonna better and we shouldn't be selling our better perfomers.Originally posted by BennyBoyRs View PostWith all due respect (because I value your opinion), that's a very naive way of looking at it. Mackie has had a great start, but is nowhere near a £3m player. We could replace him three times over with that sort of dough.
That's pretty simple. IMO, of course. Now, Then, Forever[CENTER]QPR-Football League CHAMPIONS

I don't see this being a good thing however.
We have 2 months of the season with plenty of games over xmas. We need mackie to concentrate on his football at QPRI played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I don't see us getting 3 million for him unless he starts scoring galore in the next 8 weeks.Originally posted by Ric-Roc View PostDid someone say £3m?

I agree that's why I'd take that £ in a shot. Love Mackie for his work rate & enthusiasm but he's not the man to fire us into the Prem.Originally posted by Kirill View PostI don't see us getting 3 million for him unless he starts scoring galore in the next 8 weeks.
£1m player at best imo.

NOT AN AGYEMANG. On less than £16,000 a week (that's figure includes all his living expenses, rent etc...) and he actually wants to play football for the club!Originally posted by QPR1976 View PostIF they DID offer £3m in January, I'd be very tempted to snatxh their hand off.
Much as I like him and his workrate and enthusiasm, 7 games qithout a goal, is he another Agyemang who started well and.....
Would anyone swap him for Beckford ?
Only paper talk and hyperthetically of course.

You say he is going get better and I hope you are right - but Agyman, Wardley, and others have started like a train and ended up nothingness sort of players. Agree he's got great work rate, strength, determination and speed so could turn into a v decent player but jury v much still out. If we cd sell him and buy a proven goal scorer for the money I for one would not criticise the club.Originally posted by qprjames View PostNo I agree he's not worth 3M however he has already got 8 goals this season and has definatley been one of our best performers. Doubt its true but 3 million for mackie would be quite tempting, if we got Beckford as part of the deal.
