By way of clarification I should expand a bit on what I was alluding to earlier. But I should be clear in doing so that I am not claiming to know any of this as fact. I did get it from someone who should know but can't say I wasn't being a spun a line, perhaps to test the water. But for what it's worth the gist is this.

I think what has or is about to change is not that the board has decided where we should move to ( in fact I am told it hasn't decided that at all) but it has decided (or is expected to confirm very shortly) that we must move somewhere. Apparently latest tranche of expert reports commissioned by the Board into how you could expand/improve LR (inc going upwards, backwards and down!) show none are economically viable. Esp for revenues they want for Prem survival.

The Board are said to be struggling with how to act on this as they are aware of the potential upset any announcement of a move could cause. I think it is true that there genuinely is no decision on where we would go, though the rumour is the A40 corridor is favoured (did hint that BBC isn't on the table and Linford Christie had "big problems"). I am pretty sure even if there was a favoured site they wouldn't be saying so till it was bought!)

I was led to believe there would be some kind of announcement (before Christmas being the aim) along lines that these expert studies have show LR can't be fixed to make us viable Prem club and asking fans for views on a move, without a site being recommended.

    We will see.

        Flavio wanted out,

        Handshake with Kingfischer was done,

        Flavio pulled out,

Why? The promised land on the horizon.

The bigest joke is the never was statement just showing again the agenda in a so called impartial website.

One thing I do admire about you pete is your thick skindness.

Yep - His investment and entitled to do the best to protect it and then receive the benefits - especially with his F1 revenue streams vastly reduced (though Alonso's recent successes should loosen the wallet somewhat!)

Don't blame the guy at all.

Still bad news though for the immediate future of the club

Steve - I think that is what they want to find out.

For me, local to where we are is important. History, roots and all that. As determinative, though...I travel from up the A40 corridor to Rangers now and actually somewhere like Hillingon/Hayes/Ruislip is not even that much easier from here. It will disenfranchise a lot of Rangers coming from other starting points and some of our loyalest supporters to boot.

I do think the facilities are important. And if we do go Prem it will be murder getting a ticket and in time also a season ticket with an 18k cap. I favoured, if we have to move, the Linford Christie site as only a stones throw and plenty of space. Apparently not that straightforward. But the lesson for the Boiard is the most successful moves have been those that stayed local.

A40 between Hillingdon & Uxbridge would get near on 30k in PL. But sentimental reasons says scrubs should be where we go.

Unigate and BBC site still retain the excellent transport links. White City Station was built to accomodate tens of thousands of passengers for the exhinitions. Those links are fundamental in getting anything past, at the first stage, local authority and secondly the Mayor's office.

I've stacks of very recent first hand experience in getting these stadium accessibilty issues past quango's and planning committee's, Section 106's etc etc... and transportation is the key and a monumental pain. Even the potential outlying boroughs like Hillingdon, Hounslow and Harrow wouldn't consider any new build without significant investment in the local transport infastructure that they would expect the club to cough up for.

                            Job application Nodge mate?

Agree White City / Shepherds Bush have excellent transport links (much as I moan about them at the moment as most are shut at w/e's). Better than any we'll find out on the M40.

I liked the idea of Linford Christie site if we have to move, partly as it keeps those links and adds East Acton Stn to the mix. Only local residents to upset are convicts (and sick people but they'e bed ridden anyway).

                              Ha ha....

Linford Christie site you could just about get away with still flagging White City/Wood Lane/Shepherds Bush as embarkation stations along with East Acton. Road access would be the issue there for a 30,000 seat stadium.

The Scrubs coud become a lot more viable in the future with the proposed Kensal Crossrail station and the proposed Old Oak HS2 terminal, either or both will see massive regeneration of the land between the Harrow Road and A40.
